Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport

In June, I got the chance to visit Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport, an opportunity I have been highly looking forward to since its launch. Being the second airport hotel in Kenya, I wanted to compare it with its fore runner, Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport, formerly known as Lazizi Premier, which opened its doors last year. (Click here to read about it).

The lobby is quite spacious and holds a number of seats for guests to relax as they are checking in. I love high back chairs, they look so regal!

From the reception, turn right to head to the Lobby Bar and conference rooms. Get your sweet tooth fix at the Lobby Bar which has a lovely spread of pastries. The hotel boasts of seven meeting rooms which were all occupied at the time of the visit.

I absolutely loved the Marketplace which is the main restaurant at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport. It serves international cuisine and operates 24 hours so you are guaranteed of a meal no matter the time of day or night. The circular, metallic, decor at the entrance, the quirky light fixtures and the vast outdoor terrace that leads to a well manicured lawn really got me excited.  I love me a generous space!

Four Points Sheraton Nairobi Airport features 172 rooms and suites. Room amenities include an en-suite bathroom, LED tv, tea and coffee making facilities, black out curtains and a writing desk.

I found that the standard rooms were on the smaller side and needed a splash of colour to liven them up.  However, I loved that they all had an iron and iron board, amenities that often come at an extra cost in many hotels.

Apart from the Marketplace, one can also enjoy a meal and their drink of choice at the Tazama Rooftop Bar & Grill. Tazama is my kind of spot. Cool, relaxed and with outstanding views of either the national park or the airport.

A short flight of steps from Tazama is the rooftop swimming pool. You won’t find a pool in Nairobi with a better view! #viewsfordays

I visited the hotel during the June rains that had turned the park so beautifully lush and green. I could have spent hours at the pool side just taking on that view.

The Olakira By Rio Spa is Four Points Nairobi Airport’s answer to fatigue or restlessness. The Spa offers massages and other treatments that will leave you feeling rested and relaxed.

Having any business meetings you need to finalize before jetting off? The business lounge at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport is the perfect spot. They offer a quiet space and administrative resources such as printers to make sure you have everything you need for a successful meeting. And that greenery on the wall, is real! Amazing, right?

Choose Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport if you have an early morning or late night flight. You will delight in the meals at the Marketplace, the beverages at Tazama Rooftop Bar and the picturesque views from the swimming pool.
